Mike surprised me with a trip to Punta Cana. Before we went, I had never even heard of this place. It is in the Dominican Republic and shares the island with Haiti. It was paradise. The Royal Hotel Catalonia was an adult only five star resort that featured beautiful beaches and the best food ever. I was surprised that we didn't run into many Americans. It seemed like there were a lot of people visiting from Russia, Canada and Spain. While we were there we ziplined and swam with sharks and sting rays. I really enjoyed the shows that the resort hosted at night as well. Mike was content to just chill with his Blue Hawaiian drink on the very European (topless) beach. Ha! I am so glad that missing the initial flight didn't stop Mike from finding another way for us to get there. Just one overnight in Miami and we were on our way to paradise!

Braves Versus Marlins 2010

We watched MOST of the Braves vs. Marlins game. After a rain delay and extra innings they did end up winning! We left in the 10th inning and still didn't get home until midnight. It was on the cool side that night but really fun. Poor Bailey danced like crazy to get on the jumbo screen and it never happened. Her favorite part was the tool race. Let's hope the Braves hang in for the wild card!

Here is how we spent the holiday weekend...wake up, sit in the hot tub, get something to eat, sit in the hot tub, geocache, watch some football (Go DAWGS), visit the hot tub. I think you get the picture.
