Santa's Express

Mike and Bailey really enjoyed playing with the train set that Irma gave her for Christmas. She even brought out her Barbies, cars, and rock collection and made a village in the center.

Bailey's Drum Solo

Watch out Tommy Lee, you've got some competition....

Bailey's Pictures

Bailey has loved her new digital camera. She asked me to post these to the blog so everyone could see them. Now remember, she is three, and I think she is going for the abstract slant...ha! But I must say I think she did really good considering these were her first shots. A natural like her Mommy???
Bailey's Camera

Christmas 2008

We had a great Christmas this year. Bailey really enjoyed the drum set, digital camera, and princess sleeping bag that Santa brought. Mike's favorite gift was the Skin-It I got him for his Blackberry. I loved my Office calendar and perfume. We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas like we did!

The Night Before Christmas...2008

The Night Before Christmas...2008

What a busy day we've had. First we attended the candlelight service at Mt. View. Then we went to see the Lights of Life on the Life University Campus. When we got home we put out reindeer food on the lawn and then left milk and Reese's cups for Santa. Bailey is expecting lots of gifts because she said not only was she good, but Mama and Daddy were good as well. Let's hope Santa got that message!

Baking Blowout

Bailey and I spent all day making some holiday goodies for our neighbors. The sweets may not have looked so good in the end, but we can attest that they taste great!

Chrismas with Pop Pop and Posie

Christmas with Pop Pop and Posie

We were excited to spend time with my Dad and Posie this past week. Due to the bad weather they had to drive over instead of fly in. Poor, poor things...having to travel like the rest of us common folk. Ha!
Bailey absolutely loves her new cash register. She is scanning everything in sight. Mike rang up for only $1.99!

The Tree is Up...

With the help of Bailey of course! And I have discovered that this house isn't big enough for two decorators. As I put out stuff, Bailey is right behind me rearranging to her satisfaction. It is a look that I've never seen in Southern Living, but I must admit, I love it!

Thanksgiving Feast

I got a chance to visit Bailey and attend her Thanksgiving Feast with her at preschool. All of the kids were supposed to bring their favorite food to share with others. These kids had their plates loaded with homemade pumpkin pie, macaroni & cheese, nuggets and fries, cute turkey shaped treats, and more. What did my kid bring? She wanted the same thing as last year. Breakfast bars! I just love my low-maintenance sweetie!!!

Gobble Gobble

Bailey and I....well, mostly me... made pinecone turkeys today for arts and crafts. Let's just say felt does not like glue. Ha! But we did have fun.

First Trip to the Dentist

Bailey had an excellent check up at the dentist today. It was her first visit and she wasn't a bit scared. She loved the bubblegum flavored paste and she didn't mind Mr. Thirsty (the suction tool). Ms. Robin even let her spit in the sink. She has been practicing that all week!

Bailey's Ballet Class

Bailey's Ballet Class

Bailey took her last ballet class for the fall with Ms. Addie on Saturday. She loves practicing her dance moves at home. If she isn't tiptoeing, she is twirling about.

Zoo Atlanta 2008

Bailey and I took off for a girl's day outing at the zoo. The weather was perfect and not too many folks out. She liked the train, merry-go-round, and playground the best.

Georgia Florida Game 2008

So things didn't go as I had hoped this year. It was actually pretty painful to watch. Thank goodness Christy had tons of good food to distract me. So instead of dwelling on the game, I would like to thank our gracious hostess with the mostest for the great time we had. And as you can see, Christy, I did post the picture. You never said how big it had to be though! Ha! Till next year...........

Halloween 2008

3 parties in one day...this was a crazy Halloween! Bailey had a class party at her preschool. Then another one at Ms. Dawn's. The final was a pizza party for our subdivision. We even got a chance to go to Trunk or Treat at the church. She had a pretty good stash at the end of the night. Looks like I will have to step up as a mom and help her out with all those goodies.

Dawn's Update

Looks like they had tons of fun at Ms. Dawn's this month. They made carmel apples, painted with water colors, and had ball races with their noses.

Pumpkin Festival at High Meadows

Pumpkin Festival at High Meadows

Thanks so much to Ms. Ann for inviting me and Bailey out to the Pumpkin Party at High Meadows. Bailey got a chance to get her nails and face painted, a tattoo, a pumpkin from the patch. She then decorated it and make a photo frame for our picture that we took. We wrapped up the night with a weenie and marshmallow roast. The folks in charge spent a lot of time making this event so much fun for the little ones. A huge thanks to them too!

Lindsey and Michael's Wedding

Congratulations to Lindsey(Mike's cousin) and Michael. It was a beautiful wedding and a killer reception. They had the Heather Hayes Band down from Atlanta and they were phenomenal! Since the reception was at Chehaw Park, we took Bailey to the Annual Boo at the Zoo. There she got a chance to see Bri....aka. Pebbles.

Thomas the Train

Thomas the Train
Mom took Bailey on a train ride with Thomas in Cordele on Saturday. Bailey had so much fun. She has been talking about the adventure ever since.

Surprises from Christy

Christy surprised Bailey with an Ariel Barbie and dress up costume. Needless to say, Bailey loved them! She has been asking for both ever since seeing The Little Mermaid. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gift. Thank you so much, Auntie Christy! You ROCK!!!

Pranked Again

Let's just say our neighbors took advantage of the fact that Mike and I weren't home Saturday night. Now we have a new additon to our Halloween decor. Yes, that is a 10 speed suspended from our tree! It is really creepy at night because the mask glows. Bailey has now bonded with it so we have decided to keep it up year round. That will teach our neighbors...ha!

Bailey Got a Barbie!

Bailey got a Barbie and Ken doll for being such a good girl at school and at Dawn's. She plays with her new babies from the time she wakes up till she goes to sleep. I pulled out my Barbie clothes that I had when I was little. Did anyone else know that Barbie's...uhhhh... dimensions have changed? Let's just say she doesn't fill out her tops like she used to. Ha! Bailey loves dressing them up. Oh, and I have officiated over 30 weddings already!

Pumpkin Patch and Kennesaw Mountain

We had a great time this weekend when Dad and Posie came to visit. We went for the second year to Berry Patch Farms. That night, Mike and I got to watch a Thrashers game since we had free babysitters in town! On Sunday we went to Kennesaw Mountain on our way to the airport. We took the bus to the top of the mountain. Bailey really had fun with that, it was her first bus ride. There was an airshow going on at Lockheed and we had a good view of that. If you look closely in the pictures you can actually see the jets!

A surprise from Ms. Nisa

Bailey loves her monogramed washrag. Looks like Ms. Nisa is bonding with her new embroidery machine!

Decorating for Halloween

Bailey helped me set up the Halloween decorations this year. She is also in charge of keeping our new mums alive. I have been known to kill a few plants in my lifetime. Let's hope she does a better job!

Football and Festivals

Football and Festivals

We have been on the go this weekend. Christy invited us out to watch the Woodstock High School football game. It was Bailey's first and she loved it. She even found a friend her size and they proceeded to cheer most of the game. The next day we headed out to the Fall Festival at High Meadows, then went to ballet, and ended the day by watching the Georgia / Tennessee Game at our neighbors. Bailey crashed as soon as her head hit the pillow tonight..and I'm not too far behind...ha!

Bailey and Daddy Bonding Time

I have been under the weather this weekend, so Bailey spent a lot of extra time with her Daddy. She tried to make me feel better by surprising me with roses. She also learned how to change the oil in her jeep.

Junk in the Trunk

That would be 2 outfits, one WINTER gown, and one bathing suit....not just Mike's genes...ha! I never know what I will find when I get Bailey up from her nap. Not that she takes one anymore. It is more like "quiet time for mommy".

Learning About Fall

Here is the latest from Ms. Dawn...
The kids had so much fun dressing up poor Sadie and doing all of our fun fall activities. The pictures are of them observing the fall observation bottles, making fall leaves, shucking their own corn for lunch, participation in the fall scavenger hunt, and making apple cider and cookies.

Fun at Ms. Dawn's

Holand's Daycare

Bailey has so much fun at Ms. Dawn's. As you can see, she created artwork with her feet and later helped make some yummy lunch.

Ballet Videos: Day 2

Bailey Takes Ballet

Bailey had a great time in ballet class today. She has a wonderful instructor, Ms. Addie. Mike and I had so much fun just watching all of the little girls. I think Bailey's favorite parts are dancing with the ribbon and acting out the princess song. I will post some of the videos from today's class soon!

Christy finally did it...

she made the rank of Tech Diva! Of course, I contributed many, many, MANY countless hours of mentoring to make this possible. With that said, I am proud of all she has done at our center and wanted to give her a farewell gift. She is headed downtown to work at the Department of Education. Good luck, Christy...I will miss you tons!

Sports Sampler Day 2

I missed her first class, but I was there (camera in hand) for the second one. Bailey is having fun playing different sports in her Lifetime class. Riding on the scooter is her favorite part.
