5 Days and Counting
Well today is Nisa's last day before she goes on maternity leave. Brayden is supposed to make his grand appearance July 5th. She will come back to work in November. We will actually be sharing an office when she comes back. Don't worry, Nisa, I'll take care of the decorating while you are gone. I have a great egg exhibit that I know you will love! Just kidding.....I'll miss you, hurry back. The HMH just won't be the same without you. Best wishes to the whole Peek family.

Looking for Daddy
Mike has been out of town for work and Bailey and I both miss him so much when he is gone. For some reason, Bailey is obsessed with Mike's shoes. She likes to put her toys in them and take them out. She could do this all day. I couldn't resist posing her in this pair. Here is also a picture of her happy. Haven't seen too much of this lately because her top 2 teeth are coming through and she is also battling a little cold.

The Adventures of TRYING to Eat Out
We all had a great time when Grandma and Grandpa McBride came up to visit. She was such a good girl when we went to town for a little bit that we decided to eat out. Reality set in about 10 minutes after arriving at Smokey Bones. She just doesn't care to sit in the chair or our laps when there are so many places to explore in the restaurant. So that was a short but sweet trip out. I can't fuss too much. She is cutting her 2 top teeth, so I know that can't be fun for her either.

Into EVERYTHING!
Now that Bailey is an accomplished crawler, she has set her sights higher. And by higher I mean anything she isn't supposed to get into. The stairs and cabinets are constantly calling out for her attention. Since "No, Bailey, no, no, no, no", doesn't work, Mike and I have started babyproofing. From cabinet locks to gates, we have been busy trying to make our home safe for our little explorer. Bailey just looks at us with that sneaky little grin and I can tell she is thinking one thing.....A challenge!!!!!!!!!!

Mike's First Father's Day
Well, we just finished celebrating Mike's first Father's Day. Bailey and I took him to Steak & Shake. While we were there I ordered a brownie sundae. This was Bailey's first sample of icecream and she loved it. Everytime she saw me load up the spoon she would start to giggle and then laugh out loud because she knew what was coming. I guess we share a passion for sweets! Then Bailey gave Mike a framed collage of pictures of them together from this past year. It sure brought back a lot of memories looking at
those.Of course we hit the neighborhood pool afterward. We had to work off all of those calories from lunch! I think Mike really enjoyed his special day. I hope so, because he is a very special dad.

Watch out Walmart, here we come!
Bailey and I had an interesting trip at Walmart yesterday. Now that Miss Independent is a pro at crawling, that is all she wants to do. I just didn't think the Supercenter Store was the best place for that. So she cried the whole time she was in the buggy. Couldn't I see the miles and miles of polished linoleum that were calling her name? I looked through my purse to find something to divert her attention. The TicTac container worked for about 5 minutes. She even figured out how to open the little tab. So out flew the mints! Then she had the great idea to start the "opps I dropped the TicTacs again" game. 5 minutes after having Mommy bend over again and again she got bored again and proceeded to throw the TicTacs box at people. She has a pretty good aim for a 10 month old. After a couple of dirty looks I broke down and I gave her the nasty keychain that I previously would hide from her so she wouldn't put them in her mouth. Of course after gnawing on those a couple of minutes she figured out they weren't so tasty after all. At that point only being held by Mommie would do. Needless to say, toting an extra 20 pounds helped to end our shopping trip pretty quick.
May 2006 Bubbleshare
This month Bailey got to swim for the first time, she loved it! We also got to visit Baby Brianna for the first time.

April 2006 BubbleShare
In April, Bailey celebrated her first Easter. Mike and I also had our first date night since Bailey has been born. We went to a Thrasher's game. When Mom came to visit, we visited the Marietta Square.
