Camping Trip to Ft. Mountain

Ft. Mountain State Park

I am glad to report that we survived our first camping trip. We went along with several of our friends: the Stanleys, Kaufmanns, and Holly and Justin. Bailey actually said she liked the tent better than our house even though she didn't have TV or movies to watch. I can't say I want to spend another night in 40 degree temps "under the stars" again, but I had fun too. Bailey's favorite part was swinging in the Stanley's hammock. She also got a chance to try out her new Barbie fishing pole. She and Mike didn't have any luck at the lake but they had fun trying. On Sunday we walked to the Old Fort and Overlook and found a geocache on the way.

Playdate in the Park

Recently we enjoyed some playtime at a local park. They had face painting and cool music. We enjoyed the beautiful weather and got to play some baseball and frisbee too. This park had suffered some bad flooding so it was nice to see it was back in order for the summer.

Sheep to Shawl 2010

Sheep to Shawl 2010
We went to the Lazy D Farm in Ball Ground to check out their annual Sheep to Shawl event. We got to see their sheep being sheared and other Appalachian folk arts. Bailey and I fell in love with the babies. They were adorable.

Braves vs. Cubs

Braves vs. Cubs

Mike and I went to Turner Field to take the tour, visit the museum and watch the Braves beat the Cubs 3-2. I highly recommend the tour if you enjoy baseball and always wanted to see what goes on behind the scenes. I thought it was cool that they have to mow the field everyday, twice a day all year long.

A Busy Easter Weekend

Easter Weekend 2010
Let's see if I can sum up our busy weekend in a 1,000 words or less...:)..
On Friday night, Mom, Mike, Bailey and I went to watch Ben and Andrea play at Right Wing Tavern in Downtown Woodstock. We had a blast, Mike and I even dressed up for their 80's night theme. The ladies seemed to love Mike's blond curls! Then on Saturday, Mom, Bailey and I enjoyed a full tea at a tea parlor in Woodstock. Bailey was in heaven since she got to play dress up. I stopped counting after 3 wardrobe changes. Then Bailey and I headed to Ethan's bowling birthday party. We had so much fun. Thanks, Dawn! That night Mom and Bailey went to watch the How to Train Your Dragon movie while Mike and I went to watch Jesse's Girl play at Jimmy Macs. I got some "interesting" video of Ben and it would be just wrong not to share. Be sure to check out the video below. Then, of course, on Sunday we celebrated Easter at home after church. It was super busy this weekend but so worth it!

DP Egg Hunt

DP Egg Hunt

Bailey was excited that her Gan Gan got to go with her on the DP Egg Hunt. It looks like the kids had a blast and the park was really neat too.
