Last Mommy and Bailey Day '09

Since Bailey starts school next week, this was our last Mommy and Bailey day for the summer. We celebrated by going to have her 4 year old pics taken. Then we went to a McDonald's with a huge playcenter. We wrapped up our day at a park in West Cobb that Nisa had told us about. While we were there we watched some of the softball tournament they had going on. These girls were really impressive. Even Bailey wants to learn how to throw the looped-e-loop (fast pitch) like she saw the pitchers throw. Guess Mike will be hitting the front yard and putting in some batting/pitching practice later.

Princess Night at the Dwarf House

Princess Night

Bailey got a chance to wear her new dress to Princess Night at our Dwarf House. Not only did she get to meet other princesses, she got to make her own tiara, magic wand, and had her make up done. There were even two miniature ponies and a miniature donkey for her to pet. I think she had a little crush on Prince Charming too!

A Day in Kennesaw

Bailey and I decided to spend some of our day together in Kennesaw for a change. We checked out the new soft play area in the mall and then joined Nisa for lunch at Shogun. Thanks for our sweet treat, Nisa. The cookies were an awesome surprise. This was Bailey's first visit to a Japanese restaurant. She really loved the rice like I knew she would. Later that night, while she was in the bath, she pretended to cook for me like the chef. She even made the fire roar like it did for lunch.

Visiting Kyndall

Visiting Kyndall
We really enjoyed our visit to Albany. We got a chance to see my niece, Kyndall, for the first time. Bailey was especially excited to spend time with her. I couldn't believe how small she was. Bailey was a big baby so I never had a chance to hold such a little one!
Bailey also got a chance to ride her Pop's horse. I heard they were on it for a long time and that she did great! On the way home we stopped and spent some time with Irma to celebrate her birthday. The only problem is leaving. Bailey never wants to say goodbye to her Irmie.

I made Bailey a special music cd to entertain her on the road. I took video of her enjoying her favorite song. Can you guess what it is?

Thanks to Haley

Bailey loved her artwork. She has hung it in her room so she can look at it everyday!

Fireworks Video

Here is Marcia's video of the girls when the fireworks started. Should have gotten video of Bailey bursting into tears when the show was over. She gets the love of fireworks from her Pop Pop!

Finally...a chef in the family!

Cooking Class

Bailey and I went to The Coffee Park today for the first time. While I kicked back with my book and some free wifi, she played in the treehouse. Then after a really yummy lunch she took a cooking class. The owner, Mr. Roy, taught the kids how to make garlic bread and spaghetti. Bailey did a great job of paying attention and said she had a lot of fun. We will definitely go back!

Happy 4th of July!

Fourth of July 2009

We started off the holiday by joining my friend, Marcia, and her family at their neighborhood pool. Bailey played with Sarah and Madison and I actually got to chill at the pool. I could get used to that. Then we met up with the rest of the crew for our traditional dinner at Taco Mac. Bailey and the girls had fun with the poppers and sparklers that we got. Once the show started they loved it. Bailey is already asking to go back and watch the fireworks again.

Bye bye blankie?

Bailey mentioned out of the blue that she wanted to be a big girl and get rid of her blankie. Since the blankie and finger sucking (another habit we are trying to break) seem to go hand in hand, I am trying to help her with this. She went 3 nights without it so I took her to the Dollar Store to get 3 prizes. So far so good!
