Child Labor?

Don't go reporting us...she was given one 10 minute break while she was on the job. Glad she enjoyed cutting the grass with her daddy. She will have plenty of opportunites in years to come!

Chuck E Cheese

I finally bit the bullet and went to my first Chuck E Cheese with Bailey. Her Uncle Kory and Aunt Wendy had taken her before, but this was a first for me. We actually tagged along with Marcia and her kids. Come to think of it, I think we invited ourselves, but oh well. A little bummed out that Chuck was broke so I didn't get to enjoy the show ( I know, I need to get a life). That didn't stop my girl from dancing in front of the stage and living it up. What a trooper! Her favorite and only ride she was interested in was the mini carousel. I think I could have plopped her on that horse, loaded her down with enough tokens for the hour, curled up in a corner booth and she would have been fine.

Soul 2 Soul 2007

Mom and I really enjoyed the Soul 2 Soul Tour with Faith and Tim this Saturday. I thought Tim was a great entertainer and Mom about fainted when Kenny Rogers made a special appearance. The seats weren't great (3 rows from the rafters) but that didn't stop us from having a great time. I am proud to say we even experienced Marta and lived to tell about it!

Finally

It took almost 2 years, but Bailey finally figured out this shoe thing. Don't get me wrong, she has been putting them on her feet for a little while now, but today something special happened. She actually got them on the RIGHT feet this time. No matter how much I tried to steer her in the right direction, she remained stubborn (takes after her Daddy) and would always put them on the wrong way. Next hurdle....potty training!!!!!!!!!

1 Year Milestone

I can't believe Bailey has been at Marcia's Munchkins for a whole year. When she first started, she was only crawling. Time sure has flown. To celebrate the milestone, Ms. Marcia gave Bailey a baby doll. What an awesome surprise for Bailey! She has been toting her baby around the house and even shares her seat with her while Mickey is on. I even have to be extra quiet because the baby is sleeping. Looks like Bailey will make a great mommy one day.

Sticky, but yummy!

We decided to take Mike's folks to Krispy Kreme for breakfast. Bailey knew exactly where we are when we pulled into the parking lot. You have to order fast because she loves her doughnuts. The video below is of Bailey making fun of Grandpa. She caught him snoring yesterday and has made fun of him ever since.

Happy 4th!!!

4th of July 2007

We had a really busy 4th of July. Bailey got to be part of the Falcon Crest neighborhood parade. Then we all headed to Taco Mac to chow down and watch the fireworks. Bailey didn't cry during the show, but she did have a death grip on me the whole time. Maybe next year she will enjoy them more.

What a Busy Weekend!

Not only did Bailey graduate from her swim class at the YMCA, but Pop Pop and Posie came for a visit. They actually watched Bailey so Mike and I could attend the concert. Then they hung out at the pool the following day. Bailey even jumped off the diving board. Guess those lessons paid off after all.

Attention, Eighties Ladies

Rick Springfield at Chastain Park
Scandal, Eddie Money, and Rick Springfield came to visit Chastain this Friday. All the bands were great, but my Rick really came through again. I grew up with his poster on my wall and have always loved his songs...and let's face it ladies, he is very easy on the eyes. It is amazing the variety of folks who show up for his shows. All age groups were represented, we met some neat folks. Mike and I really like the whole feel of Chastain. We packed the cooler and even had the tablecloth and candle going on. Already looking forward to his next concert!
