What can I say, Bailey just has a unique sense of style. Here she is modeling her latest creation. Looks like layers are making a come back. I must admit she even walks better in heels than her mama.

Twas the Night Before Christmas

We got a chance to attend the 5:00 service at Mt. View tonight. Bailey even got to see her music teacher, Ms. Judi. We managed to find someone still open for dinner. Good old Taco Mac. Everytime we go, Bailey is obsessed with the crane game. She gets so excited watching folks try to win a toy. Then we came home and got the cookies and drink ready for Santa. We like to give him a Dr. Pepper so he gets a jolt of caffeine to help him with his long night.

At first glance our tree looks pretty normal right? Well I have recently discovered that Bailey has been using it to hide some of her new toys. What a stinker!

Christmas in Albany 2007

We had a great time visiting our families back home. Although it was a quick trip, we got a chance to visit and eat some great food. We got some awesome gifts as well. Bailey is on cloud 9 since she has been able to celebrate Christmas 3 times!

Future Rock Star?

Bailey has been so blessed to have some of the best sitters in her life. Here she is at Ms. Sally's house. Her son, Joey, is home from college and it looks like Bailey has taken a liking to his guitar. Let's hope she gets her musical talent from her dad. I'm clueless in that field!

Luke's in Town

Mike got a chance to visit his friend from school, Luke Bryan, today at Carl Black for a Toys for Tots drive. Luke has done really well in Nashville and we still can't believe it when we hear him on the radio. Mike used to scout cotton with Luke and still runs into his family when we go home. Way to go, Luke. Thanks for representing Leesburg!

Bailey's Christmas Program 2007

Bailey did such a good job in her first Christmas Program at Mt. View. I am so proud of her! We followed up the program with a party in her class. Video from Mike's camera is soon to come (I hope)!!!

Pop Pop and Posie Visit

We had a great time having my dad and Posie over for the weekend. We even got to keep them one extra night since the wind was so bad and they couldn't fly back. These past few days have been really busy: celebrating Christmas, attending Mike's work party, helping Santa at our neighborhood Toys for Tots drive.

Bethlehem Walk 2007

Mike and I took Bailey to the Bethlehem Walk for the first time. We had gone four years ago and it has really grown in popularity. The line for waiting to get in reminded me of Six Flags. But it was worth it. They really put a lot of effort into setting it up each year. Kudos to them! Click the picture above to see what it was like.

Decorating for Christmas

For those of you that are not as Fashion Savvy as my daughter...let me describe her outfit. She is wearing our Georgia and Auburn Stockings as shoes and Charlie B's Christmas collar as a necklace. This is what happens when you don't watch her every second. She came in the room to surprise me as I was putting up the tree. I'm sure all of the toddlers will be sporting this look soon! Ha!

Radio Pirates

I got my first "official" glimpse of our neighbor's band Radio Pirates today. And they ROCK! I am so proud of Ben (lead singer) and Andrea (bass & vocals). I hope they remember me when they get all rich and famous!!!!

Thanksgiving 2007

Mike, Bailey, and I enjoyed time with our families in Albany. Not only was the food awesome, but we had a blast hanging with everyone. We even got to spend time with my best friend, Dawn and her daughter, Brianna.
Oh yeah...Kory and Wendy, just know that I was going easy on you with Cranium and Uno Spinner....there will be a rematch. And it won't be pretty!!!!!!

Little Mama

I'm working from home today (pass the Tylenol) and Bailey has been doing a decent job of entertaining herself. That was until things got really quiet. She found the petroleum jelly and decided to lube up her baby's nose. It actually makes sense once you know that we have been using some Vick's Vapor Rub on her at night in the same way to help her breathe!

Twinkle, Twinkle

Last night Bailey pulled all the pillows from the living room into the kitchen. She made a circle, sat down and insisted I join her. There she proceeded to sing the songs she had been learning in school. Here is the abridged version of her favorite, Twinkle, Twinkle.

Happy Halloween 2007

Ok...it was hard to out do Princess Leah from last year, but I think we came close. Bailey bears an uncanny resemblance to Gene Simmons when her hair is pulled back just right. So that is right, folks, we represented the KISS band tonight. Bailey was Gene, Mike was Paul Stanley, and me....humm...I was a devoted groupie! I was pretty proud of her costume since it was all homemade. Let's hope she doesn't hold this against us when she grows up. Bailey, it was all your Dad's idea!!!!

Bailey went to her first pumpkin patch today. And the weather couldn't have been better! We got to see some farm animals, play on the playground, and go on a hay ride. Bailey even picked 2 pumpkins of her very own. She wanted 3 but just couldn't handle them all. She even got her face painted. Her favorite part by far was the tractor ride though. Guess that is the South Georgia country girl coming out in her!

My coworker, Christy, invited us to her house for the game. We had a great time. They have such a beautiful house. I could move onto the back porch and be perfectly happy. Bailey had a lot of fun playing with her kids, Abbey and Walker. This was her first time on a trampoline. We even got to see some deer in the backyard. Oh yeah, almost forgot..........Georgia won too!

Here is Bailey with her new sitter, Ms. Dawn. I was so happy to hear that Bailey had a great day with her. I was really worried about the big transition. I can tell that Bailey has already bonded with her because she keeps asking about Daaaaawn throughout the day. She loves to talk about her fish tank too!

ETI Retreat

Thanks to Pete (Mike's boss) and Sylvia for hosting a party at their cabin near Dahlonega. The weather,food, and company was just perfect. We had a great time fishing and hiking too. Pete and his quartet even surprised us all with songs. Even the 1 1/2 hour trip wasn't bad because it was such a pretty drive up.

Bye, Bye High Chair

Bailey has retired her high chair. Her long legs just didn't want to bend in all the weird angles I needed them to in order to get her in and out. So far she has been doing really well in her new big girl seat.
