Happy Halloween 2006

What a difference a year makes. Bailey really got a chance to enjoy Halloween this time. And she did it in style, she was Princess Leah. Her Royal Highness really looked the part in the dress our neighbor Andrea made her. (That will teach Andrea to brag about her new sewing machine!) I bought a hair band that worked great as a belt. And to finish the look I made her some customized buns out of yarn. They stayed in only an hour due to Bailey tugging on them, but they really helped make the outfit. Before trick or treating at our neighbors, we went to the pizza party for our subdivision. A whole bunch of kids showed up and Bailey really enjoyed hanging out with the witches, fairies, and super heroes. I can't wait for next year! Posted by Picasa

Some Bonding Time with Charlie B

Charlie B is really starting to show his age this fall. Since his arthritis is much worse, we have started giving him a prescription drug for it. His elevated level of calcium and continued weight loss aren't helping either. The vet says it could be a sign of cancer. Mike and I are very committed to making sure he is as comfortable as possible. He even got a boost up into the recliner with me the other night! Mike and I couldn't have asked for a better dog. We love our Charlie B! Posted by Picasa

InTech Day 7.....Yeah!!!!!!!!

What has been the most valuable aspect of the InTech training? How have you grown professionally? Has your teaching changed? Has your view of computers in the classroom changed?

Be sure to post your comment for your last reflection. Then let's celebrate....shopping anyone?????

Ready to Shop...

Bailey has been hanging around her Meemaw too much. It looks like she has some serious shopping on her mind.
Although Bailey and I didn't get a chance to stay long, we really enjoyed our quick visit to Albany.
Kory treated me and Wendy to the movies. The Grudge 2 was really spooky. Poor Kory sat between us and he really paid the price. Wendy and I each had an arm.
On Monday, I got to purchase my dress for the wedding. Wendy did a great job picking it out. We even found a pretty flower girl dress for Bailey at a consignment shop. Just hope she cooperates and does her job when the time comes.
Later that night I got a chance to spend some time with the girls at our Girl's Night Out dinner. Grandma and Grandpa McBride watched Bailey so I got to eat out and enjoy myself. I soooo needed it. Posted by Picasa

High Meadow's Fall Festival

Bailey, Mike and I had a great time at High Meadow's Fall Festival. There were all sorts of activities going on for the kids (Bailey was still just a little too young to participate). We did try our luck in the cake walk...twice, but it wasn't meant to be. We also visited the animals they have in the barn area. And lucky for us the weather was just perfect. We are really looking forward to next year!

A Weekend of Firsts

This weekend Bailey and Mike went to the lawnmower store to order some parts for the blower. While Bailey was there she received her very first sucker. By the time they made it back home, they were both covered in the sticky candy. Even the car seat was messy. If you look closely, you can still see it on her clothes and face. Oh well, Daddy will learn.
This morning Mike treated me and Bailey to homemade pancakes. They were such a success that I have requested them every Sunday. Maybe I can even get them served as breakfast in bed if I work it right.
